Are you interested in learning how to work with your dreams, or do you want to deepen your knowledge of honoring your dreams, and would enjoy being part of a small group of like-minded seekers? If so, join our six week program where you can work respectfully and confidentially with your own dream images and those of others.

Led by Sue Kuhn Hunter, an Asheville Jungian Oriented Counselor with 25 years of dream work experience and a Certificate of Continuing Education in the Fundamental Theory of Analytical Psychology from the International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland. We will meet once a week for six weeks for two hours. Each person will have the opportunity to work with his or her own dreams, as well as learn from the symbols that others bring to the group. We will also explore ways to honor and embody symbols in our dreams with art, writing, etc.

*This event is in progress. New participants welcome. Contact Sue for more information.

NATURE AND HUMAN NATURE
JUNG MEET UP

St Marys Episcopal Parish
301 Charlotte Street
Asheville, NC 28801

Through lecture, discussion, and myth we will explore how the cycles of nature are mirrors of our human nature.  Examples of creation and destruction, death and birth are present in all of creation.  Our growth into consciousness depends upon seeing our human nature and the natural world as one.  Our survival as a planet depends on remembering our inner connectedness with all that is seen and unseen.   Jungian analyst Pittman McGehee once said, “If you want to individuate, select a tree and watch it every day for a year.”  I think he is on to something!

THE SYMBOLIC LIFE
JUNG MEET-UP GROUP
FEBRUARY 15, 2018  7PM

St Mary’s Episcopal Church
337 Charlotte Street
Asheville, NC 28801
Public Welcome

C.J. Jung challenged us to live a symbolic life. To do so we must gain understanding of the essence and mystery of symbols, their importance in our individual and collective lives, and ways to honor and accept the enriching and healing aspects they hold for us.

Last year I became a fan of the television series, The Crown. As I watched the episode of the queen’s coronation, it became clear to me that the ritual and regalia used in the ceremony were not just for the “historical royalty,” but can have symbolic meaning for each individual on the journey to become one’s true self….to rule his or her own inner and outer kingdoms.

Join us for an experience with a collection of these symbols so that each of us might expand our ability to live a more symbolic life.
